The C-RAE® Restitution Recovery System is a complete solution for recovering Victim Restitution, Court Costs & Fines, Case Fees, Warrant Fees, Administrative Cost, and Other Charges. It handles state, county and municipal criminal and traffic cases and is a great tool for increasing revenue.
This Keep It Simple Software™ is Easy to Learn and Easy to Use. It automates the process of collecting cases through letter, label and disbursement check generation. It provides fast data access through internal search engines, catches most errors before they become a problem, performs calculations and totaling, stores scanned documents, and automatically enters cities and states by zip code. The C-RAE Restitution Recovery System manages cases, tracks payments, disburses money to the appropriate parties, and provides reports for management and auditors. It even helps your bookkeeper balance the unit’s checkbook.
C-RAE’s Activity feature stores dated notations about court appearances, motions, letters, meetings, phone conversations and skip tracing which can be searched by date range, case number or defendant name. Its Case Action feature tracks defendant promises to pay or mail a payment.
To access C-RAE, a user must login. Among other things, the login verifies that a user has the right to access the program. It also verifies which menus, screens, functions, tools, reports, and fields are available to that user. C-RAE allows a user to work on more than one case at a time and allows multiple users to access and enter data simultaneously. Overall, the C-RAE Restitution Recovery System has 17 primary preference areas controlling screens and data for areas such as the Organization, Units, Users, Counties, Courts, Activity Types, Case Action Types, Case Fees, Case Locations, Case Types, Court Charge Categories, Court Charges, Docket Types, Judge Data, Payment Methods, Race Types, and Zip Codes.
In addition to demographic, identification, and skip tracing data, C-RAE allows a user to quickly access primary and related data such as a defendant’s cases, payments, aliases, case actions, scanned documents, bankruptcy data, and associated date-oriented activity.
It also allows fast access information about a case and related data such as the associated defendant and co-defendants, the victim (if any), associated payments, case documents, and case activity.
The bookkeeping area includes deposits, batch disbursement check generation, adjustments, a check register and bank reconciliation.
The C-RAE Restitution Recovery System has 28 single-record reports and 44 multi-record reports including seven case reports, eight payment reports, six banking reports, five administrative reports, fifteen closing reports and three tickler reports. Multi-record reports generally contain data from several records and allow a user to set a date range for the report.
The System offers five letters (new case letter, case action required letter, defendant initial letter, defendant action required letter and an appearance notice). These letters can be printed as a single letter or created through batch letter generation. C-RAE letters are designed to fit in a #10 window envelope. If folded correctly, the address of the recipient fits in the envelope’s window.
C-RAE Restitution Recovery also provides five customizable forms including an Income Withholding Order, a Garnishment, a Failure To Appear Warrant (a.k.a. Alias Warrant), a Failure To Pay Warrant and a Summons. It also generates case labels or defendant labels, deposit slips, disbursement checks, and Rocket Dockets.
