The key to increasing revenue is to collect more cases and case fees. C-RAE ® is a suite of software programs that is a complete solution for collecting and recovering Court Costs & Fines, Victim Restitution, Traffic & Parking Tickets, Bad Checks, Bail Bonds, Case Fees, Administrative Cost, and Other Charges. It is available as a suite or as individual collection/recovery programs.
C-RAE is designed on the KIS principle – Keep It Simple. Although powerful, it is Easy to Learn and Easy to Use. With its many functions and features, C-RAE automates the process of collecting cases through letter, label and disbursement check generation. It reduces errors with data validations, performs calculations and totaling, stores scanned documents, and provides fast data access through internal search engines. C-RAE manages cases, tracks payments, disburses money to the appropriate parties, and provides reports for management and auditors. Its Activity feature stores dated notations about court appearances, motions, letters, meetings, phone conversations and skip tracing which can be searched by date range, case number or defendant name. Its Case Action feature tracks defendant promises, such as a promise to pay or a promise to mail a payment.
• Allows multi-user access and data entry
• Includes Built-in Security
• Generates talking points for speeches and debates
• Increases Discretionary Revenue
Each C-RAE module has three primary areas tied together: Defendants, Cases, and Bookkeeping. This allows a user to quickly access primary and related data such as aliases, cases, payments, documents and activity associated with a defendant. It also allows fast access to defendants, payments, documents, disbursements and activity associated with a case. In addition to demographic, identification, and skip tracing data, each defendant has at least one case and may have payments, aliases, case actions, stored documents, bankruptcy data, and associated activity. Each case has a defendant and information about the case, but may also have associated payments, case documents, and case activity. The Bookkeeping Area includes Deposits, Disbursement Checks, Adjustments, a Check Register, and Bank Reconciliation.
For security, C-RAE controls access to modules, screens, functions, tools, sensitive fields, and reports through its Preferences. To control data breaches, C-RAE uses 128-bit encryption to secure sensitive fields in SQL such as User Login Names, Passwords, Social Security numbers, Driver License numbers, Criminal Identification numbers, and certain payment data fields. Finally, C-RAE uses 4763 validation tests to check that data being entered or used is correct for the task at hand.
For technology-oriented people, C-RAE is a relational database with a C# front end and a SQL Database back end. Its reports are generated with Crystal Reports and can be printed or exported to Word, Excel, or a PDF. Its document/form generation is through Microsoft Word and it uses a Dymo LabelWriter for generating labels. C-RAE is designed for multiple, simultaneous users and has Optimistic Concurrency to control users modifying the same data. It offers a lot of flexibility with its 71 tables. Overall, it has seventy built-in reports and thirty-three forms including letters, Summons, Warrants, Income Withholding Orders, and Garnishments. Most forms are customizable.
